This SOP outlines the necessary steps to deactivate an account securely, ensuring that all financial and account-related activities are properly handled before account closure.
Pre-Deactivation Checklist
Before deactivating an account, the following subjects should be reviewed and verified to ensure that the process is carried out smoothly and with minimal disruption. Kindly refer to table 5.1.3.a below for detailed information.

a. Deposits/Funds in Wallet
Check for any remaining funds or deposits in the wallet. Ensure that all funds are withdrawn or transferred before proceeding.
b. Active Trading Account
Confirm that there are no active trades or open positions in the trading account. If there are any, ensure they are closed and funds are settled.
c. Active Subscriptions
Review any active subscriptions (PAMM/MAM/CT) tied to the account.
Step-by-Step Account Deactivation Process

Change Email Address
Modify the account’s email address by appending “-deactivate/revoke” to the original email and username. This ensures that any notifications related to the deactivation process are traceable. Kindly refer to the image 5.1.3.1a and table 5.1.3.1a below for detailed examples.

- Suspend MT4 Account
Suspend access to the client’s MT4 (MetaTrader 4) platform. This will ensure that the client is no longer able to execute trades or access account data via the MT4 terminal. -
Change Referral IB to IB ID 2195
Change the client’s referral Introducing Broker (IB) to the internal IB ID 2195. This step ensures that no further referrals are tracked under the current IB. Kindly refer to the image 5.1.3.3a below for detailed information.

Turn Off Profile Settings
Navigate to the profile settings and disable all three settings that allow for account activity. This will ensure that the account cannot be accessed or modified once deactivated. Kindly refer to the image 5.1.3.5a below for detailed information.

Reject Client Account
Reject the client’s account by updating the status to "rejected." This step indicates that the account is no longer active and prevents future login attempts. Kindly refer to the image 5.1.3.6a below for detailed information.

- Lock the Client Account
Finally, lock the account to prevent any further access. Locking the account ensures that it is fully deactivated and no one can make unauthorized changes or log in. Kindly refer to the image 5.1.3.7a below for detailed information.
